Girly Trains

For the life of me I can not tell you why it never, not once, occurred to me to buy Ainsley a train set.

I've been shopping for Zack's 2nd birthday and realized there is a host of toy options for boys that I never considered for my daughter.

Of course, she would've enjoyed a train village. Why wouldn't she? I'm sure she'll get plenty of use out of Zack's.

I had a much loved lego train set as a kid, my mum still has it at her place for amusing the grandchildren. There's something very satisfying about designing and building track layouts.

I had to restrain myself from continually buying just a bit more track for my kids' Thomas the Tank Engine train set. The kids were perfectly happy with the track layout that didn't quite all join up and had curves that were too tight but I was always wanting to make it just a little bit better.
