i know you already said when you gave this book to ainsley and how old she was, but can you repeat that info.?? also, what was her reaction to it? i am blown away by it and want one for myself!!! i am going to copy and give it to my girl for her 10th. thanks for the info and inspiration.

For her 5th birthday. She was proud and I think she took it for granted a little.

My 20-something cousin said, "I wish I had one" and she said, "Well, your dad will just have to write you one" as if all parents did this.

But, wouldn't it be a better planet if all parents did do this?

Now it gives her confidence, inspires bravery and helps her define who she is.

What a great idea! Sort of similar, but when I was pregnant with my second, I made a book for my first saying exactly what would happen when it was time for his brother to be born: his grandmother would come over, the doctor would perform the c-section etc. and how if the baby came early, my friend would come over to take care of him. I used lots of photos of everyone involved including a picture of the ultrasound. He seemed pretty calm when the baby came.
